Responsibilities 


Instruction

  • Provide remedial instruction in 1-1, small, and whole group;

  • Provide accelerated instruction in 1-1, small, and whole group;

  • Provide differentiated instruction in 1-1, push in, small group, and collaborative models as required by IEP’s for entire caseload;

  • Internalize and execute lesson plans with fidelity and create reteach plans as needed;

  • Collect and analyze academic data to determine a strategic instructional plan for scholars that paces towards the end of year advanced academic goals at the schoolwide, small group, and individual level;

  • Evaluate scholars' progress with daily, weekly, quarterly data collection and data management;

  • Prepare written reports accurately and submit in a timely manner;

Special Education

  • Executes our end-to-end special education processes, including Child Find and Maintenance of Effort, and protocols to ensure that scholars receive services that are timely, appropriate, and effective in accordance with local, state, and federal law and school board policies;

  • Ensure all Special Education documentation (IEPs, initial and triennial evaluations, progress reports, attendance, etc) is in 100% compliance at all times with services and timelines;

  • Partners with families, scholars, teachers, and administration regarding all aspects of special education related services and evaluation;

  • Plan and lead all required meetings regarding Special Education caseload;

  • Remain current on rules set forth in special education law and regulations;

  • Partners with vendors to support special education services and evaluation;

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation on scholar progress through scholar portfolios and progress report cards, and assessment files for  individualized education plans;

  • Maintain a current GAPSC Special Education certification;

  • Participate in GaDOE compliance reporting: Post-secondary Transitions, PreSchool Outcomes, Post-School Outcomes, Timelines, FTE, and Student Record;

  • Facilitate instructional and testing accommodations as outlined in scholar IEP’s;

Intervention, Acceleration, TAG/gifted

  • Execute our end-to-end intervention,  acceleration, and TAG/gifted  program creation and implementation to ensure that scholars receive services to support academic success;

  • Partners with families, scholars, teachers, and administration regarding all aspects of intervention, acceleration and TAG/gifted services;

  • Partners with vendors to support intervention, acceleration and TAG/gifted services;

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation on scholar progress through scholar portfolios and progress report cards, and assessment files for intervention, acceleration and TAG/gifted services;

  • Establish and lead clear and organized response to intervention, acceleration and TAG/gifted processes to ensure that the highest and lowest performing scholars have the appropriate academic, emotional, and social supports in place;

  • Analyze assessment data to help determine a strategic instructional plan for intervention, acceleration and TAG/gifted scholars, pacing towards the end of year academic and culture goals;

  • Support with analysis of and development of staff ability to analyze scholar data (daily work samples, weekly quizzes, interim assessments, etc) to identify strategies that will move scholars toward mastery of individual goals;

Response to Intervention (RTI)

  • Lead & oversee RTI (Response to Intervention) team for RTI caseload; 

  • Prepare for, schedule, and facilitate all RTI (Response to Intervention) meetings; 

  • Implement RTI supports with fidelity;

  • Collect and maintain weekly data points for all RTI caseload;

  • Partner with Resurgence Hall team members on knowledge and implementation of tiered supports;

Other Scholar Services

  • Execute  end-to-end  program creation and implementation for ESOL services and 504 plans to ensure that scholars receive services to support academic success;

  • Remain current on rules set forth in state board and district policies related to ESOL services and 504 Plans;

  • Partner with families, scholars, teachers, and administration regarding all aspects of ESOL and 504 programs;

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation on scholar progress through scholar portfolios and progress report cards, and assessment files for EL and 504s;

  • Administer formative and summative assessments as required;

  • Support all state and district mandated assessments (WIDA, ACCESS, STEP, NWEA MAP, Milestones, GKIDs, etc);

  • Support all state and district mandated assessment training and data analysis (WIDA, ACCESS, STEP, NWEA MAP, Milestones, GKIDs, etc);

  • Support  weekly/quarterly data and benchmarks towards EOY Goals and Benchmark;

  • Facilitate instructional and testing accommodations as outlined in scholar 504 Plans;

General

  • Create a culture of joy and urgency with high expectations for all scholars;

  • Continuously develop instructional expertise by deeply engaging in weekly professional development and 1-1 coaching;

  • Execute professional learning for all staff members & vendors;

  • Effectively communicate with teachers, families, and administrators to partner on scholar progress;

  • Effective consultation with families, students, teachers, and administration; 

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on scholar progress through scholar portfolios and progress report cards, and assessment files;

  • Support data management as necessary in the Student Information System to ensure 100% reporting compliance;

  • Communicate daily with all families regarding scholar academic and social/emotional progress through school-based applications (apps), phone, and email;

  • Build deep relationships with scholars, families, and staff to foster a culture of joy and community;

  • Support school wide initiatives such as weekend recruitment events, evening parent workshops, and other events with advanced notice outside of regular work week and hours;

  • Maintain a fully staffed department 

  • Identify and attend hiring fairs, events, and opportunities to recruit staff

  • Execute on the RHCS hiring procedures and process while maintaining detailed records of candidates through our application system

  • Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Director of Scholar Supports.




Qualifications/Certification- All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is a plus. All candidates must hold a GAPSC Special Education Certification aligned with teaching assignment AND GAPSC Content Certification aligned with teaching assignment.


Prior Experience- Minimum 2 years full-time teaching experience. All candidates must have a track record of consistently improving academic outcomes throughout the course of the year. Strong project and time management skills; juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely results. Sense of humility, urgency, and strong ability to proactively solve problems. Demonstrates organizational, computer (Google Suite - Word, PPT, Excel), project management, data management and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
